🧘🏻‍♀️ 5-Minute Breathing Meditation to Cultivate Mindfulness

Welcome back to my Guided Meditation Series! This video is a 5-minute mindful breathing meditation that you can do regularly - or even every day. Be sure to subscribe to my channel and turn on the notification bell if you want to watch these videos as soon as they go live.

This is a great breathing meditation for simply being mindful of your breathing. It guides you through breathing deeply and steadily, aligning your focus on the now, and relaxing your entire body. Forget the day's distractions or stressors and just BE. Focus on bringing your attention back to your breath if your mind naturally wanders or gets distracted.

A mindful breathing meditation is one type of mindfulness meditation that promotes greater awareness of your body and breath. It uses your breathing as an anchor to help you remain focused and grounded, and more importantly, it is a great tool to help you stay in the present moment. During the course of a day, it is easy to get caught up in your thoughts, stressors, noises in your environment or surroundings, and so on.

Do you find yourself being distracted often, focusing on your pain or suffering, or focusing on other people and their needs instead of yourself? Do you try to actively avoid feeling physical pain in your body? Do you judge thoughts and are prone to anxious or depressive thoughts? Fortunately, you can use this mindful breathing meditation any time to focus on you, your breath, and yourself and bring yourself back to the present moment as a grounding technique as well. Enjoy!

Aloha,

Dr. Jen
