π§π»ββοΈ Guided Meditation: Mindful Breathing for PAIN & SUFFERING
Welcome back to my Guided Meditation Series! This video is the first video of my Mindful Breathing Meditation Series that I am starting, so be sure to subscribe and turn on the notification bell to my channel if you want to watch these videos as soon as they go live.
This is one of my favorite meditations for beginning to become mindful of your breathing. No need to try to control your breathing in any particular way - just BE and focus on bringing your attention back to your breath as your mind naturally wanders and gets distracted. You can do this meditation anytime and anywhere - during a quick break in your workday, when you wake up, before you go to bed, and more.
A mindful breathing meditation is one type of mindfulness meditation that promotes greater awareness of your breath and breathing. It uses your breath and breathing as an anchor that helps you remain focused and grounded, and more importantly, it is a great tool to help you stay in the present moment.
During the course of a day, it is easy to get caught up in your thoughts and noise in your environment or surroundings. In addition, your thoughts may become focused on either the future or the past. Do you find yourself being distracted often, focusing on your pain or suffering, or focusing on other people and their needs instead of yourself? Do you try to actively avoid feeling physical pain in your body? Do you judge thoughts and are prone to anxious or depressive thoughts? Fortunately, you can use this mindful breathing meditation to focus on you, your breath, and yourself and bring yourself back to the present moment as a grounding technique as well. Enjoy!
